Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Meeting in the morning at your hotel / Riad and departure to Ouarzazate via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. We continue to reach the kasbah of Telouet (ancestral home of Pacha Glaoui). After lunch, we take the road along the valley of Ounila and the Berber villages. Then we will reach the kasbah of Tamdakhte and that of Ait Ben Haddou. Photo stops will be made as well as a visit to the UNESCO-listed Ksar by walking through the sloping streets before returning to the cinema in the city of Ouarzazate. Later on in the afternoon, we arrive at your hotel or riad. We take there our dinner and spend the night.
Ouarzazate – The Draa valley – Zagora – Tamegroute – M’hamid
Departure from OUARZAZATE towards the desert down the DRAA valley. You’ll enjoy the palm grove landscape in which allotment gardens and charming little villages are hidden, crossing each other by taking a few kilometers of track.
We take lunch in a typical inn, then drive to ZAGORA. A visit of the TAMGROUTE pottery workshops and kilns is programmed with the possibility of visiting the Koranic library, for lovers of old manuscripts.
We then take the road to M’hamid which crosses already desert landscapes.
We’ll arrive at M’hamid at the end of the afternoon. That’ll allow you to settle in our bivouac set 2km from the village in the middle of the dunes and watch the sunset. There, the evening meal is served, and you’ll enjoy the evening bivouac atmosphere and night in a tent.
Mhamid – Sacred Oasis – Erg Chigaga
Departure from the bivouac of Mhamid in the desert, direction the large dunes of CHIGAGA by the track.
We will stop at the sacred oasis. As we continue our journey, we will reach the bivouac of Chigaga. There you’ll be served lunch and a you’ll be offered a 1 hour camel ride. In the afternoon, you can climb the highest dune and admire the sunset over the waves of the dune as far as the eye can see. Later on, dinner is served and you’ll spend the night in a comfortable bivouac with entertainment at the fire towers.
Chigaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech
Departure for Marrakech at 9 am by the track between Erg de Chegaga and the dry bed of the Drâa, passing by Lake Iriqui, then by Foum Zguid and by road via Taznakht. We’ll take lunch then drive to Marrakech, photo stops will be made during the day between Taznakht and Marrakech before arriving at the hotel.
